We couldn’t be more thrilled!
We bought two female Welsh Corgis from Silver Maple Puppies in October 2018. Because we live in Saudi Arabia and the dogs needed to meet extensive health requirements for import, the Schlabachs graciously agreed to keep the girls through that period and do all the necessary vet work. Neva was wonderful to communicate with, very competent and proactive. I had approached several breeders prior to finding Silver Maple, and all others were hesitant about the process and the extra time needed to keep the puppies (until 16 weeks). The other breeders made it seem like an impossible task, bringing puppies back overseas with us.
Approximately thirty days after making the deposit online, I flew to Ohio. I was very pleased to find the pups and their parents so shiny, healthy, and happy at Silver Maple’s clean and well-organised farm. Rest assured this is not one of those “puppy mills” one hears horror stories about: the Schlabachs obviously care well for their dogs and horses. At my request, we’d tested one of the females for all three of the most well-known genetic diseases in the Pembroke (DM, vWD1, and EIC), and I’m thrilled to say she tested “clear” (not even a carrier) for all three! Both dogs are very true to type, straight-legged and bright-eyed, and even cuter and prettier in person than in the pics and videos.
There is not a single negative thing I could say about my experience with Silver Maple. If you are looking for a top quality dog (or two!) from caring and generous people with excellent customer service skills, look no further. They made a challenging process infinitely easier–and we couldn’t be more thrilled with our girls!

Rita Mae Brown is a year old! Rita joined our family when she was 11 weeks old. It’s hard to believe she’s already a year old and 100 pounds. Our girl has brought love and joy to our family. Rita is a healthy and happy girl with a lot of energy. Thank you Silver Maple for breeding such a sweet and well-tempered puppy.

My kids and I adopted Becca. She was retired and looking for a good home. She was well cared for, socialized, friendly, and loving. She is perfect!! I get so many compliments about well behaved she is and how beautiful Becca is. Becca has been such a wonderful addition to our family!
I recently purchased a pug from this breeder and I couldn't be happier with the service they provided! They went above and beyond to answer all of my questions and make the entire process seamless. The pug we received is healthy, happy, and has quickly become a beloved member of my family. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a furry companion - their service is truly 5-star!
I recently lost my corgi Sampson and was looking for a puppy. I stumbled on Silver Maple on line and fell for Knight when I saw his picture. It was worth the drive to meet him and the good people of Silver Maple. All I can say is they breed well, treat their dogs nicely, and produce fantastic puppies if Quigley is an example. He's won the hearts of everyone he's met. (PS - I've had corgis since 1989 and Quigley is #5.) I definitely recommend Silver Maple if you're seeking a corgi.
HIGH RECOMMENDATION! We were so happy with the communication, organization and kindness in getting our 3.5 month old Newfie girl we have named Daphne. This is our second Newfie so we have experience with the breed. We were pleased with the facility and how happy our puppy was and she has really adjusted so well. It is only day 4 and we feel so bonded to this very well behaved puppy. Thank you so much.
We couldn't be more thrilled with Silver Maple! They provided a puppy that was not only very healthy, but clearly had been securely attached and ready to bond with our family. She had been kept with her grandmother, who had role modeled for her. The puppy is quiet and even tempered. She really is amazingly well behaved. She came crate trained and has never had an accident. We are so grateful that we went with Silver Maple. Thanks for taking such good care of our puppy!
A 13 weeks puppy leaving home for the first time and traveling 14 hours by carrier? Well, I expected a little guy stressed out to the point of shyness, fearful of being handled, and suspicious of every move I’d make. How wrong I was! It’s been awhile since I’ve had a puppy as happy-go-lucky, fearless and curious as Baxter. I have a fenced 1/8 acre backyard and every time he goes out, he does a 360 circle running as fast as he can. He chases butterflies, birds and falling leaves! He has wonderful energy but if I’m working at my desk, he’s never more than two feet away. This is my first Corgi—but can’t you tell I’m smitten? Kudos go to the breeders for this healthy, outgoing, well-adjusted little guy! They obviously do everything right! Thank you Neva!
And I should give a shout out to Furry Trails—honest to goodness animal people who let my puppy sleep on someone’s lap for part of the journey. They kept me in the loop with updates and the ETA. Much appreciated!!
We picked up our Tri Color Corgi Eleanor at the end of February and it was the greatest experience! Neva was so responsive and easy to communicate with over text and email! The process to pick her out was easy and I say everyday we were so blessed with the best puppy ever! Ellie is so loving, energetic, and absolutely loves everyone she meets! I will continue to reccommend Silver Maple Puppy & Equine to everyone!! We can't thank them enough for the absolute best addition to our family!
My boyfriend and I picked up our tri-colored corgi Dexter right before Christmas. We are absolutely smitten with him; he is so handsome and high energy. Everyone we meet wants to know where we got him from, and he loves ALL people, kids, and dogs. I am so glad I stumbled upon Silver Maple Puppy when I was looking through the AKC website; it is clear that this family knows what they are doing and cares about the puppy even after it leaves them.
I wanted to include pictures of Dex throughout the months we've had him but couldn't figure out how to attach photos, so I made a little slideshow for everyone to see because I know seeing the pictures of other customers made me lean towards getting a puppy from here!
